This tour will take us to the Škoda car factory, located in Mladá Boleslav, about 65 km to the northeast of Prague. The Škoda car company, originally founded in 1895 in Mladá Boleslav by Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement, has produced during its history, many different type of cars and before the Second War World designed and built some of the finest cars by that time.
We will see a short film about the history of the company and then we will have the possibility to walk between many historic cars, produced by Škoda in different times, that have been carefully restored and talk about the former glory of the company.
After the museum, we will go to see the engine and assembly plant, having the unique opportunity to see how a car is made, by the way, Škoda is between the few car makers allowing to see on the spot, the car production process, and also the impeccable clean and efficient facilities, where these cars are produced.
At the present time, Škoda belongs to Volkswagen, and becoming part of the German trade mark, has represented improving the quality and technology of the company.
Škoda cars are exported to many countries of the world, having also factories in India and China.
