Tour to Nelahozeves Castle - Birthplace of Antonín Dvořák

As part of this tour, we will visit the Nelahozeves Castle, located about 35 km to the north of Prague. This beautiful renaissance castle, has been well preserved until nowadays, and it is owned by one of the oldest Czech noble families, the Lobkowics, who originally bought the castle in 1623.

During this tour, you will have the possibility to visit the interiors of the castle, with a valuable collection of paintings, antique furniture, china, precious glass, some weapons and musical instruments, so it will allow you, to have an idea, how these families lived in the XVII and XVIII centuries. 

In addition, beside the castle, we will visit the birthplace of the worldwide known Czech composer Antonín Dvořák. He composed his world famous “Symphony of the New World”, during his stay in New York between 1892 – 1895, a this symphony is considered to be influenced by the American native music and the African American spirituals. 

This half day tour is also a good option, to discover the peaceful way of life of a small Czech village not very far from Prague.
