A must in Dresden is the Zwinger, a master piece of barock arquitecture with some of the most important museums in Dresden such as the New Masters Galery with the Sixtin Madonna by Rafael and paintings of Rembrantd and Rubens, the Mathematical - Physical Hall and the Galery with the Porcelain Collection from Meissen and others. The historical city centre is good to walk by and we recommend you to visit the catholic imperial church (Hofkirche), the protestant Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) completely rebuilt after its destruction by bombing in February 1945, the Opera Theatre (Semper Opera) and the Royal Residence, where we strongly recommend you to visit the Green Vault with its works of craftmanship in precious metals. You will also have the possibility to enjoy the Elba view from the terrace "Balcon of Europe", called this way by Goethe or even take a river cruise by the Elba.
